Tree Stars is a seed house that has been around since 2018. We’re not sure where they’re located, it looks like maybe somewhere in America. Our guess would be California based on their page’s style and some of the defaults on their website. This place stocks seeds from twenty-seven different breeders. Seed breeders themselves will generally set how many seeds you get in a package, but this site is full of offers of packs of ten or twelve. They seem to ship internationally, including to places like North Korea, Syria, and Papua New Guinea? This honestly strikes us as a little bit of a red flag. We’ve just never seen another seed bank offer shipping to these places before. Reviews of this place’s service are very ambivalent. Some folks seem to say that they have excellent customer service and great products, though they might be a bit slow to respond to inquiries, especially on weekends. Others seem to believe that this website is a scam. All the review websites are full of testimonials where either folks say they felt spoiled by the amount of freebies they got with their seeds, or they say that they haven’t received anything after a long time. It’s possible that their shipping times can just be quite slow, considering that they ship so internationally, and some customers get quite fed up.
The main page of this site is a bit of a mess. We’re fans of the acid cartoon aesthetic as much as any other potheads, but it can be a bit much to try to navigate a site and read its content when there’s this many distracting graphics and advertisements. The black background with purple writing can also be very difficult to read. Their website also changes a lot depending on what you’re viewing it on and how wide your browser can go. It’s also very difficult to just browse their whole available selection. They don’t have a way to browse by seed, only by seed bank. Many bank sites have this issue, and I suppose that’s how they appeal to the crowd that is focused on getting seeds of a certain brand instead of a certain strain. Their search field doesn’t offer a lot of help in this regard. We tried to see if we could search by things like regular seeds, auto seeds, and the like. The search field turned up no results, even though we knew there were regular seeds in their stock. It’s also very difficult to really be sure about the choices you make on websites like this when they don’t offer pictures or any kind of information about their products. Tree Star admits on their About Us that they are still working on their website. It might be the case that good things are worth waiting for.
