The Cali Connection

The Cali Connection is a seed bank located in the Golden State of California. One can make that assumption based on the name of the company, but their homepage doesn’t actually tell you where they are located. Their website is very bland from the offset. It’s just white with a black logo and black lettering, though the colored ads and several pictures of dank make it seem slightly less plain. There’s not much information on the company itself available. There’s no mention of the year it was established, who founded it, the area they service, or even shipping information. Even when you select a strain, the details available about that particular seed would surely not be enough for any true professional who wants to know the ins and outs of their future gang green babies before they make a selection. TCC has a total of 42 seeds available, like Jedi Kush and Jupiter OG Kush. This includes five of the autoflowering variety, like Boss Hog Autoflower and Girl Scout Cookies autoflower. Then they have The Gold Line by TCC which shows another ten strains, like Cherries Jubilee and Mint Milano. They do not specify how many seeds come with each order, if you have the option to adjust how many you want, if you can mix and match, or if you get any discounts for growing in bulk. When you click on a strain, like Strawberry Tiramisu, you see the original strains it came from, the flowering time, and if the yield is small, medium, or large. You get a short paragraph worth of a description too, but nothing that will give you any more details about the complexities of your plant or its grow. They do have one hemp plant, called Boax. This strain actually gives you an option for package quantities of 10 seeds, 100, 500, and 1250. When you make an order, you still have to call to finalize and pay for your order over the phone with your credit card. All of the social media links on the website are a hoax. The Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, and Pinterest icons all lead back to the homepage of the website. Besides the meager line up of tree selection, TCC sells five t-shirts, which can be found on two separate pages of the website. What they do have in detail, is a Grow 411 page, which takes you through the full germination process. You get descriptions of the germination phase, the next 20 days, after 20 days, what to do after you know the sex, and the flowering phase. They also advise against using the paper towel method to get your germination going, and instead recommend Rockwool. Then there’s their page with Award Winning Genetics. They have seven awards mentioned for the High Times Amsterdam Awards, which they won between 2010 – 2013. They also have about a couple dozen awards listed for the High Times Medical Cups, which are said to have been won between 2011 and 2016.
