Sensi Seeds

Sensi Seeds is one of the pre-eminent seed banks in the world, going back to 1985 in Amsterdam when they opened up the first ever Cannabis Museum. Many of the strains we think of as the seminal godfathers of modern cannabis were safeguarded or stabilized by Sensi in the late twentieth century. They’re the largest seed breeder in the world, with five hundred different varieties of cannabis. Yes, technically Weed Seeds has more, but that’s because we also have seeds from other sources as well. Sensi Seeds is a regular host of Cannabis Cups in Amsterdam, and they’ve worked with most of the big names in international cannabis culture. Many of the other smaller seed houses in existence now were created by people who cut their teeth at Sensi. Sensi’s also run a hemp company since 1993 called HempFlax that created a lot of the gold standards of hemp production we now use. With almost forty years of experience, Sensi Seeds is one of the most vital members of the international cannabis family. They’re a big deal! On top of the Museum, they also run three shops in Amsterdam and one in Barcelona. At the time we wrote this article, Sensi Seeds was selling fifty-five different varieties of regular seeds. They stocked ninety-one feminized and forty-one automatic strains. Fifty-one of these strains are labelled as Cup winners, which is a fun subsection to be able to search for. They also allow you to specify when you’re looking for Research, strains from America, new strains, and high CBD strains, of which they have twelve. It’s also possible to browse by yield, climate zone, height, flowering time, and phenotype between sativas, indicas, and hybrids. The most expensive of Sensi’s seeds is their Jack Herer regular seeds. Sensi Seeds seem to ship to just about everywhere but large parts of Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and China. They charge for shipping orders under seventy-five euros, and an extra five euros for track and trace international shipping. Sensi also sells vaporizers, hemp-related foods, and merchandise related to their store. The merch is mostly t-shirts and hoodies. Their blog is regularly updated with cannabis news from around the world. You can search the blog further by going down to the footer and clicking on a category, which include Culture, Health, Politics, and Recipes. Sensi Seeds really lays on the product descriptions. When you first land on a product page, they give you a photo, pricing, package options, and a brief description. Clicking See More directs you further down, where two columns are organized. One side is a summary of information about the growing habits of the plant and whether or not it’s won any awards. The other column is a more in-depth write up suggesting growing techniques, possible phenotypic expressions including THC and CBD. Sensi Seeds is one of the greats!
