BC Seeds, or the British Columbia Seed Bank, is colorful and inviting, and the graphics are inherently Canadian. A Sasquatch, trees and waterways form the welcome mat, and a huge sign reading ‘creator of the world’s strongest seeds’. Having gone live as of January 8, 2000, this was the first Canadian seed bank which breeds its own seeds. We should say here that there are some points of disparity in that they say they started in 2000, but some strain info pages say ‘since ‘96.’ They are known for 42 original in house strains which are apparently hailed as some of the strongest strains in the world, both recreational and medicinal, as well as hundreds of others. Choose from AMS (Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds), BC Classic Strains, BC Seeds, Cannabis Seeds, GMO, High Altitude, Legends Seeds, Low Light, Medical Marijuana and the World’s Strongest Strains. Believe it or not, this seed bank also offers coca seeds, salvia divinorum seeds, poppy seeds and a variety of shrooms, though they are most recognized for their contributions to cannabis. BC Seeds sell seeds individually, and they offer bulk and wholesale options as well, stretching into the thousands of dollars per bag. Each strain description comes with a pretty picture, as one would have come to expect from any seed bank, and each page is data rich. It is easy to contact these people and they get back to you quickly and in a friendly fashion. They are awarded as one of the top seed banks, they offer guaranteed delivery, and though it seems silly to some, they claim that their feminized seeds are 100% female. There also seem to be some linking issues. When you click on certain seeds, such as a couple of their opium poppies, coca, salvia and certain cannabis seeds, it takes you somewhere else. This is an issue that may easily be remedied by reaching out to their head office or by dropping them a line in messenger. Either way, it’s a bother when you’re excited to get shopping. As a matter of fact, most of the links in this site go somewhere other than where they say they’ll take you, or they take you to the page of the seed bank that made the seeds you hope to buy. This leads the consumer down a rather fast and slippery slope into questioning and disappointment. BC Seeds does, however, offer a number of articles pertinent to a number of cannabis infused arenas. Common traits of cheese strains, 7 things to know about autos, indoor vs outdoor explained, growing in a greenhouse and an array of others, help patrons get the inside scoop. There are, in fact, seventy-six pages of articles to go through, so there is a big bang of info for anyone interested. On the surface, this presents as an exciting shopping experience and the menus are impressive, all until you actually start to shop.
