Sweet Seeds

Sweet Seeds is a legendary company based out of Valencia, Spain. They specialize in feminized and autoflowering strains and have been in the business as a company since 2005. They carry forty-seven different autoflowering strains, forty-eight photoperiod, fifteen fast versions that are still photoperiod dependent, eleven high CBD strains, and about five hundred and fifty different feminized strains between all of those groups. Wow! They’ve been doing a lot for cannabis for a long time, including putting together their own super fast flowering photoperiod line starting in 2013. They’ve also been putting together new families of strains based on colors, namely the Red and Purple, or Rey, families. Their versions of Cream Caramel, Green Poison, Sweet Afghani Delicious S1, Black Jack, and many more have been major award winners. They have a quality guarantee, boast about their discretion and fast shipping, and say they give out gifts with every purchase. If you click on the Much More button on their site, it takes you to a space to see even more of their seeds including their strains from America, the ones that are brand new, and even links to other seed banks because, of course, the weed world is a community! Sweet Seeds says they don’t ship their wares anywhere where it’s illegal to order and possess cannabis seeds. Sam the Skunkman, AKA David Watson, had a hand in the early days of this company thanks to his tireless work in the 1980s to bring all the best American genetics to Amsterdam for safe keeping. Sweet Seeds had a huge part in making feminized seeds desirable thanks to their work with Black Jack, S.A.D, and Sweet Thai, which they stabilized enough to become some of the first high quality feminized seeds. For real, the impact that Sweet Seeds has had on cannabis culture can’t be overstated. Their seeds go for anywhere from twelve euros for some of their Jack versions, to less than six euros per seed for their Sweet Cheese.

This website is pretty easy to use, but we wish they were a little more forthcoming with their history. We know Europeans think it’s a bit gauche to boast about yourself, but when you’ve done so much for weed it’s worth telling your own story. We did a lot of outside research to fill in the gaps, since Sweet Seeds are very humble and more interested in sharing their genetics than they are regaling us with tails. Their site offers a lot of information, both about their seeds and about cannabis in general. Their writeup on their Red Family strains is particularly interesting. As might be expected, their product pages are chock-a-block with information, starting with a really thorough rundown of the statistics of the strain before moving into a short description of the seeds. They don’t give a lot of information about growing individual seeds, but if you hang out on this site long enough you’ll be a master gardener in no time.
