Super Strain Seeds

Super Strain Seeds bills itself as home of the Amnesia. They say they invented the Original Amnesia in 1996 by crossing Nevil’s Haze with Afghan. We’re not actually sure that’s accurate, considering that there are a couple of other apocryphal stories about how that particular strain came about. They sell samples of what they say are twenty-five year old seeds of it for two thousand Great British pounds each. Seems intense and perhaps unlikely. These folks are based in the Netherlands, where they have a post office box and a phone number. They’ve been around since 2010 as a seed house, though they won the High Life Cup in 1995 under the name Hy-Pro Seeds. They used to make fertilizers mostly, but now they do seeds. They have five cup winners in their roster, seventeen different feminized strains, three autoflowers, and three CBD strains. They aim to have between fourteen and twenty-two percent CBD in their strains. They ship all over Europe and the world, though those of us in North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania will apparently need to contact their customer service rep to get details on how to order. Super Strain Seeds take Visa, MasterCard, Bancontact and MisterCash, Giropay, iDeal, Sofort, Bank Transfer, and Maestro payments.

The strain information on this page is awesome. Each seed has a solid two hundred word writeup about its strengths and origins, the expected flavors and the qualities of the high. You can then pick between buying one, three, five, or ten seeds in a package, and add them to your cart with the total there recalibrated for you. Scrolling down further you get a set of tabs that will tell you about the strain. It usually starts with telling you whether it’s an indica or sativa, and kind of rehashes the summary up top. Then it talks about the flavors for one hundred words followed by the effects for another hundred words. The tricks and what to expect from growing outdoors is followed by the tricks and effects of growing indoors. Both of these cover things like height and technique. This is another site that doesn’t always give an estimate on how much THC or CBD will be created by the plants grown by their seeds. This isn’t really a big deal of course, since growing methods will heavily influence those kinds of things. However, we always think it’s nice when seed breeders can speak the language of the consumers. The liability aspect can be got around by stressing, the way we do, that this is an estimate and not a guarantee. This site is pretty easy to use. We had to dig a little bit to find out whether or not they would ship to America, but not that hard. Design wise, there’s not a lot to complain about with this site. It’s always a little boring to have the same picture over and over again for your visuals. Lots of people like to see buds. However, Super Strains has such cool packing material, we’re not that concerned.
